ABOUT THIS PROJECT
In 2017, following a Feasibility Study by external service providers, the City of Ekurhuleni commenced with their bulk water infrastructure renewal programme.
Following a lengthy procurement process by CoE for professional service providers, AFI Consult was awarded the work as preferred service provider for the construction of the Fairleads 25Mℓ Reservoir and work commenced in all earnest.
Towards the end of 2021, following huge delays relating to the World Wide COVID-19 pandemic and MFA policy guidelines, the CoE opted to appoint an alternative service providers. The Contract Administration and Inspection Stage is underway under their auspices with completion expected towards the end of 2022. We remain proud of our contribution towards the Fairleads 25Ml Reservoir.
