ABOUT THIS PROJECT
During 2023 and 2024 AFI Consult was awarded the work as preferred service provider for the design and construction supervision for the developments of Bettysgoed, Dundonald, Monyakeng, Phomolong and Bolokanang in Mpumalanga and the Free State respectively.
Funded by the Department of Human Settlements and implemented by Gap Infrastructure Corporation, AFI Consult was responsible for the design of the internal water, sewer reticulation and the gravel roads with accompanying stormwater infrastructure.
Consisting of a total of approximately 5000 stands, the design team had to consider various engineering problems such as hard rock, steep slopes, flat slopes, existing services, material availability and the like to ensure a sustainable, cost effective but fit for purpose design.
